Irving Park is a historical area located seven miles outside of Chicago. Although this area was annexed into Chicago in 1889, the city still retains its independent character. Founded in 1843, Irving Park was first a farm area owned by Major Nobel. In 1869 the land was purchased by four investors, along with some adjoining land, and the area was soon established as a town.

When a train station was erected, the town became very prosperous, and many people began coming to this area to live. Development was moving quickly, and many beautiful homes and business structures were built. Today, these areas of Irving Park are being restored to their original beauty and are part of the holdings of the National Historical Society.

Missing some of the benefits of being part of the big city, Irving Park was annexed into Chicago in 1889. The area continued to grow and prosper and has become one of the best places to live, work and play in the Chicagoland area.

Incredible service from the electrician, he really went above and beyond. They were able to accommodate a last minute request SAME DAY!! I was expecting to have to wait much longer, but he was at our apartment within 2-3 hours and done with the job quickly after that.
